10 Most Notable Lyrics From "Yeezus"

Kanye Says the darndest things. From his music to his interviews to award shows, Kanye is clearly not afraid to speak his mind. He's never been one to hold his tongue and with the release of his highly praised album Yeezus this week, we were all reminded of his tendencies.

The album has generally been hailed as a groundbreaking musical masterpiece. Even so, controversy still arises from the heavy social criticism West focused on as well as the seeming hypocracy of his messages and his lifestyle.

But Kanye wouldn't be Kanye if he didn't stir up drama. And as anticipated as the album was we all would have been even more dissapointed if he played it safe. There were oh so many quotes to choose from, the list could go on for pages. But from the shocking, to the humerous, to the downright absurd, here are 10 of the most memorable and entertaining lines from Kanye's Yeezus.

10. “She say "Can you get my friends in the club?"/I say "Can you get my Benz in the club?"/If not, treat your friends like my Benz/Park they ass outside 'til the evening end” Send it Up

*Kanye Shrugs*

9. “On my bodyguard's back like Prince in the club” Send it Up

Pure comedy. The pint-sized music legend was known to take up transportation on his bodyguards back. The imagery is enough to make you laugh out loud.

8. "Your feelings like Zulu/Then nothing is a Shaka/I hit her with Jamaican dick/I'm the new Shabba." Guilt Trip

"Shocker" "Shaka" ahh, see what he did there?!

7. “They see a black man with a white woman/At the top floor they gone come to kill King Kong.” Black Skinhead

Kim K reference alert.

6. “In a French-Ass restaurant/Hurry up with my damn croissants!/I Am A God” I Am A God

So when niggas were in Paris, she ordered a fish filet and Kanye waited impatiently for his damn croissants.

5. “Your titties let em out/free at last, thank God almighty, free at last” I’m In It

Martin had a dream...although, I'm not sure that this was it.

4. “Fuck you and your Hampton house/I'll fuck your Hampton spouse/Came on her Hampton blouse/and in her Hampton mouth.” New Slave

Hampton residents: Hide yo kids, but most importantly, hide yo wives.

3. “I just talked to Jesus/He said, 'What up, Yeezus?'/I said, 'Shit, I'm chillin/tryna stack these millions'/ I know he the most high/ but I am a close high" I Am A God

Every Christian is advised to have a personal relationship with Jesus. Kanye and Jesus seem like two homeboys dapping each other up on the corner.

Kanye also clearly believes that he is next inline in the holy succession- the Father, Son, Holy Spirit.... and Yeezus?

2. It's leaders and it's followers/but I'd rather be a dick than a swallower” New Slave

Lines that make you go "Well damn." Kanye basically just told everyone to suck it in the most blatant metaphor possible.

1. “Black girl sipping white wine/put my fist in her like a civil rights sign/and grabbed it with a slight grind/I held it 'til the right time/Then she came like AHHHHH!” I’m In It

Are we all clear on what "It" is that the title is referring to? If you didn't get it before here's a graphic re-creation of the event complete with a Black power simile to make it more clear. I'm sure this is exactly what the Black Panthers had in mind when they were fighting against the man.

  2. "It's leaders and it's followers / But I'd rather be a dick than a swallower" I'm not one to look too much into hidden meanings, but when I heard this I interpreted it as "I'd rather be a dick/asshold and say what I'm thinking than to swallow my words."

    1. Definitely an accurate interpretation. I felt like his tone and choice of metaphor gives off a very "suck it , I'ma do me" vibe.
